Vacheron Constantin Historiques 222 Yellow Gold, Ref. 4200H/222J-B935

The Vacheron Constantin Historiques 222 ref. 4200H/222J-B935 is a 37 mm reissue of the original 1977 “Jumbo” 222, made in 18K 3N yellow gold with a matching integrated bracelet. The original 222 was launched to mark Vacheron Constantin’s 222nd anniversary and was designed by Jörg Hysek. The modern version keeps the notched bezel, the Maltese cross on the case at 4:30 and the gold-toned dial, in a slim 7.95 mm case. It is powered by the self-winding Calibre 2455/2 with a 22K gold rotor and 40-hour power reserve, certified with the Geneva Seal and visible through the sapphire caseback. The watch is water resistant to 50 m and is sold only through Vacheron Constantin boutiques. This example is unworn from 2024 and comes as a full set with box and papers, priced at US$73,000 from SRK Haute Horlogerie.
